The ASPE is starting a new journey. At the National Conference/Estimator Summit the members of our society have approved to take our association in a new and greater direction. The ASPE as a whole is moving to become more modern and up to date. We want to make better decisions faster and effect change that will keep up with the flow of construction technology of today. On a chapter level our new board is poised and ready to take on the challenge of today’s pace. Please join me in congratulating Gene Plum, from Kitchell Contractors, as our 1st Vice President. Jerry Chandler from AZ Specialty Demolition is a new board member, and will be the 2nd Vice-President. Tom Norton, from CSW Contractors, is taking over the role of Treasurer and 3rd Vice-President. I am taking over as President of our great chapter, and hope to be able to fill the shoes of some of our past presidents. Ray Baker, Immediate Past President, Carl Cathcart, Tom Mayer and Scott Eaton. All of whom have not only served our chapter, but our society on a national level.

We are planning more Lunch & Learns at various General Contractors offices. There will be some networking events coming as well. We are continuing the Estimating Academy’s at ASU and the U of A. Look for more information in upcoming newsletters.

It’s an exciting time to be a member of the ASPE.

Thank you,

Larry S. Lucero
