Chris Gates and Chad VanMoorlehem

Christopher Gates serves as the Nation Programs Director for MC Consultants, Inc., a national environmental, construction and forensics consulting company headquartered in Carlsbad, California. Chris is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. He began his career in the environmental industry as the Asbestos NESHAP Coordinator for Maricopa County Air Quality Department where he oversaw compliance with the NESHAP regulation throughout the phoenix metropolitan area. Following Maricopa County, Chris served as an Environmental Quality Specialist with the City of Phoenix Engineering and Architectural Services Department where he oversaw the City’s asbestos and lead-based paint consulting and abatement contracts as well as the City’s demolition contracts. Chris was eventually recruited by The Asbestos Institute to be the Associate Director and conduct all the primary and refresher EPA Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response (AHERA) courses for the certification of asbestos professionals and consultants throughout Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico. Currently Chris supports MC’s national efforts in providing high quality consulting services through the United States as well as supporting local operations in Phoenix and Southern California. Chris is the current President of The Environmental Information Association (EIA), a national organization dedicated to disseminating information related to the asbestos, lead, mold and Indoor Air Quality industries and is a three time past president of the local chapter of EIA in Arizona.

Can I pay cash / check / credit card at the door?

Credit card, cash and checks are accepted at the door.

Do I need to bring a print out of my event ticket?

It is highly recommended that you bring a printout of your event ticket. If for some reason you are unable to provide the printout you can still be checked in via first and last name.

What do I do if I want to register a few hours before the meeting but the tickets are no longer available?

Event ticket sales are available up until 10:00 AM the day of the meeting.  If you're trying to register and want to pay with credit card after that time. You can register without paying and pay with a credit card or cash or check at the door.

What is the 50/50 raffle?

For $5.00, you can purchase (10) raffle tickets.  At the end of the meeting, one ticket will be drawn and the winning ticket will receive 50% of the funds generated from raffle ticket sales.  Person must be present during raffle to accept the prize.

What if I prefer a vegetarian meal?

If you'd prefer the vegetarian option for dinner, please send requst to ASPE Treasurer,
